Welcome to Morning Honey Acres!

My husband, Doug, and Daughter, Hannah, all work together to take care of our goats.  Doug is also a beekeeper and a producer of maple syrup.

Just a few years ago I never thought I would be having goats and now I am in love with them.  I always wanted something that I would become so enthralled with that I would lose track of time.  After all these years it is the goats.  I can go outside and spend hours just looking at them, petting them, walking around the yard with them.  Peanut loves to go for walks with me and will sometimes hop on the four wheeler wagon and go for a ride.  Getting the milk from the goats is just an added bonus that comes with them.  I am experimenting making yogurt, cheese, ostekaka (a Swedish dessert), and am planning on making goat’s milk ice cream soon.

I have goats because the babies are the most beautiful, precocious and lovable things I have ever seen.  Every time a new kid is born it’s like the first time all over – just waiting and so excited to see what they look like.

I try to get good pictures of my goats but they just don’t seem to want to pose right for me.

Take a look around and meet some of my friends.  I have taken a lot of time researching bloodlines and all of my goats come from extremely good bloodlines. Lost Valley, Buttin’ Heads, Rosasharn, etc.  Gay-Mor Kingwood is in the background of some of my does 2 to 3 times.

I will have just a few goats for sale each year.  If you see a planned breeding that looks interesting to you, a deposit will hold a doeling or buckling.

Look around and see what makes up my little slice of heaven.
